My role is in the PAV department. However as I am a first year I am not in plant for majority of the year so day to day I am in college.
Yes I have learnt a lot of New skills. These include skills in using a mill a lathe and hand fitting techniques. Also skills on using CAD
I enjoy the programme a lot. It is intensive and challenging by but worth it as there is a lot of interesting new topics and skills.
At this point not very since I am not in plant a lot. However I feel as I progress in the programme I will be more and more valued.
Some things could be organised better and communication between the college and JLR could be improved. However no major organisation issues.
A lot of support. Tutors as well as work based learning manager check to see if everything is running smoothly. If there is any problems they see how best they can finally nd a solution to them
Again at this point in time not a lot however as the year's progress I expect to receive more support especially when I am more integrated in plant.
Very well. I can pay my ren,buy food ,put into a pension and still have some left over to save for emergencies
I would say not really as I am not in plant. However I think these opportunities would be available if I tookmore initiative and was in plant more.
Yes
It is a great opportunity to be able to gain all these skills and experience,as well as learn about many subjects. In addition I can be more prepared for the world of work
Don't be nervous. Put a lot of research into the company and the role you are applying to. Gain as much prior experience as possible and embrace the opportunities that come
