I am a electrical engineering apprentice, this involves college on a Monday but for the rest of the week I am in plant. I perform software updates and fault finding tasks on electrical components.
My whole range of skills are newly taught. This includes software instillation, multi metre use, soldering, harness building and many more.
It has lived up to what I was expecting and without it I would not be where I am today.
I feel very valued as I am the next generation for the company.
The structure is very well organized, from day one you know how the programme will pan out and it is stuck to this plan.
I receive a lot of support from the man I shadow on a daily basis from work. He even helps on a college assignments.
I receive a lot of support if it is required however most of the time I do not need the support.
It meets my costs very well, I always have enough money to enjoy my life to the full.
There are events available but I do not attend them due to not really being into that area of the company. The events mostly include speaking to future apprentices or people who are thinking about joining the programme.
Yes
The qualifications, the way in which are treated, the pay package and the work which you are doing is very Interesting.
Think with an engineering mind set!
