I am in the corporate governance team, so I am learning how to analyse company meetings prior to voting on them. As part of my daily tasks I have to set-up proxy voting for new funds. I have been given multiple projects by the team regarding competitor analysis and governance issues in the USA.
As part of the trainee program I have had loads of training days on an assortment of topics ranging from how to trade to influencing others. I am also currently study for the initial investors certificate as part of the trainees program. Apart from that I have learnt a lot about the finance industry as a whole.
The work is interesting but I look forward to having greater responsibility therefore completing more exciting tasks. The team is great and the trainees in the program are somewhat close, meeting up for social event every now and then.
Due to the large presence of trainees, apprentices and young people as a whole in the company, it is clear to see our importance as potentially being the future of this industry.
Everything is very organised with constant updates and events planned well in advance with easy online sign ups.
Multiple offsite training days.
Again a lot of support is given with internal training days and a supportive manager who is keen for us to not only develop knowledge in our role but also the wider roles around my own.
Adequately.
