  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My job title is a 'Business Analyst' and my daily tasks vary from task to task depending on projects. Some of my consistent tasks include account reviews with different territories. Here we will review how each territory is doing through a technology perspective. My role in these reviews are to take actions points/minutes for people in my team and making sure that the deck gets updated and sent out to the different territories in time for the meeting. Some other responsibilities consist of helping out with projects across the company. This can consist of gathering requirements from the stakeholder and documenting them into word. During this, I should be able to keep the stakeholders up to date with the projects in order to maintain a rapport with them. It is important to keep on top of emails and making sure that I keep on top of my priorities as well as managing my time in order to complete tasks that are deemed 'not as important'.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I am currently working towards a Level 4 in a Business Analyst role. Here I am learning about many different techniques and models that will help in a real working scenario. Here at Warner Bros. training courses are provided to help us when working within a office environment. For example one of our training courses help with our presentation skills and how to behave within certain areas within the company. Being here has also improved my office etiquette as before I had no other experience in an office. I have learned to be able to communicate within the organisation with confidence and also to maintain a professional manner.

  • 4. How valued do you feel by WarnerMedia?
  • At Warner Bros. they have really helped me settled down within this new working environment. Thanks to weekly meeting with my manager, we are able to review each week, going through what went well and things that need improving. This shows how important it is for them to keep positive relationships between employees and apprentices. As the apprenticeship progresses the more on board I become with projects, meaning roles that are more important for me to cover.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • My programme is very structured, providing me with what I will be doing through the whole time I am here. I am giving a timeline with project that I could on-board as well as meeting occurrences that reviews how well I am getting on throughout the time here. Thanks to my apprenticeship provided AssistKD I am able to keep on track with both my Warner Bros. workload as well as my apprenticeship workload. As two companies they are coinciding very well to make sure that the work I am completing matches my apprenticeship training.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • My salary covers all costs that I need. Although the only thing that is concerning is, as it is in London, everything else is very expensive. But I would say my salary compensates for this.
