  • Providing analitical data and assisting the brokers in everyday tasks, such as creating slips and providing documentation.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • My Excel skills have improved dramatically since i have started my apprenticeship, and i also beleiev my people skills have improved as well. I am undertaking my Chartered institute of Insurer exams whihc will provide me with an professional qualification.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • i do enjoy my programme. I like the fact that i will obtain a professional qualification with my role. i also think the people who are in my team are a massive part of how much i ma enjoying my programme everyone is helpful and willing to give advice.

  • 4. How valued do you feel by Aon?
  • I feel valued at AON because i am included in the team in various aspects. i am invited to meetings so i get a feel of whats going in the business and what the people around me are doing in their day to day roles. There is alos a stars at AON reward system where if you perfomr well you can be recognised by this programme put in place by the company.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The start of the programme is very well organised and structured, the 2 week induction is great and gives you an insight in to the company, the revsion sessions are also very well planned with dates set and sessions planned out which is really good.

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • Tracy our training provider is very helpful and supportive. When our exams were coming up any material we asked for or extra help we asked for she provided to us, such as past papers for us to practise our exam technique and get used to the style of question.

  • 6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • AON support us very well, the people who work within our teams at AON are very helpful they will support with anything you need. Naturally when you are starting out in a new company in your first job, there are going to be a lot questions that you are going to ask and at AON you are encouraged to ask and them and the people around you are happy to help which is great.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • I think the Salary is fair enough, it is a good wage for a young person to be earning and it does meet the outgoings i have currently which is not very much at the moment as i live in my family home.

  • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
  • There are many oppotunities outside of work, i have only been at AON for 8 months and already play football regularly with people in the office and have done the tower 42 stair climbing event.

  • 9. Would you recommend Aon to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • Because its a good place to be, everyone here is more than helpful and as young person starting out in the business world its exaclty what you need because of the volume of questions you have.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Aon?
  • Sign up to the directions apprenticeships website, it is very helpful in guiding you through exactly what the apprenticehip entails. Also be keen, confident and show a willingness to learn.
