  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My role working at Superdrug consisted of various tasks such as serving on the tills, helping customers if they need assistance, placing out stock, working delivery and putting items out onto the shop floor, keeping the shop floor clean and tidy, printing new tags, making sure prices are correct, finding missing stock, working as a team, providing good customer service and much more.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have developed many skills throughout this year, my English has been improved as I am able to speak to customers formally and well spoken. My maths skills has been improved as I am now more confident taken off percentage offers off original prices and giving customers the correct change. My social skills has been improved as I am now able to speak to new people more confidentially.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoyed this programmed very much and would highly recommended this apprenticeship to all. I have improved so much in myself through my knowledge, confidence and ability which I am great full for. I have meetings so many nice people that I will always keep in contact with

  • I feel very valued by Superdrug, i’ve had so much help thoughtout this year by my team members and assessors to complete my coursework to the best of my ability. Superdrug has provided many resources to allow my experience to be the best

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • My programme throughout this year has been very organised, I have never been confused on how I completed my coursework as Superdrug has provided me many resources to help me to complete this work on time. The beginning of the programme I was a bit unsure of certain things but quickly I was finally beginnning to understand

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • I have been provided with so much support by my training provider, I have been given many facts and learnt so much knowledge to be able to complete my work. When I was unsure on certain questions my assessor provided my with the information to complete my questions correctly.

  • 6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I have received so much support of my employer, through out this year I have had many employers which they have all provided me with help I require. Even though. Certain times I would not. Be given my 1 hour of learning per week I would still be provided with help if I needed it.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • The salary for Superdrug is very good as it is over the minimum wage for a girl of my age. I am able to support myself, pay my bills without struggling.

  • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
  • Now that I have achieved qualifications and knowledge in retail I am able to apply for jobs which provide previous customer experience and retail experience without the struggle of desperately needing a job.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • Superdrug apprenticeships will help you not only gain a qualification but allow you to change yourself, my confidence has improved so much compared to beginning this apprenticeship last year. The wage is very good for apprentices and you are always provided with support from your assesors, employers and employees


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Superdrug?
  • I believed when I began this apprenticeship I would be just doing the basics such as serving on the tills, putting out stock I was completely wrong as there are so many tasks that need to be completed. I would advice you must be committed to do the job to the best of your ability. If you are looking for a job that provides you with amazing team members, farewages and helpful resources then apply for Superdrug.
