  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My job was to consult the clients on Apple products and watch over my whole team and their engagement with the customers. I was also responsible for contacting the upper-heads if there was any problem with the shop or the products. Every day I had to do the same things and make sure that everything goes smoothly.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Prior to my apprenticeship, I had a quick but deep training on how to run things at Apple. The training experience was really effective and did a great job to prepare me for work. Since I'm a bit on the introverted side, it helped me to cope with my low communication skills, because I was watching over my team and had to deal with all the issues verbally. It also helped me to increase my logical skills, because I had to know everything about the products.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • The company is very well known, it really helped me to extend my profile. Team was also very professional and well-trained, so I usually didn't have to deal with lots of problems. That's why having an apprenticeship there was really enjoyable to the extent of me wanting to pursue my career at Apple. I expected Apple to be professional in this sphere and it really met my expectations.

  • 4. How valued do you feel by Apple?
  • The higher-ups were very honest people and they expected us to do our job fluently and without much disturbance, so the expectations were high. But they also valued our hard work, so there was a mutual relationship between us. Since it was my first time doing an apprenticeship, I was trained harder, and it paid off. I was respected in my team and if I did great, I was also praised.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • My programme was very well organised. The training was hard, and made me learn a lot of new things. Whenever I had any trouble when I was dealing with the technical stuff, I had help from my team, so everything was running smoothly. Our team had a hierarchy, but it was balanced and the higher-ups were talking with the lower-ups frequently (job or not job related issues).

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • I had a great training team to introduce me to my apprenticeship. Any time I had any problems with anything, they would provide me with help and instructions. I had no issues with my training providers, because they were professional at their job. I have enjoyed it very much, because it's pretty hard to find a place where people with different skills were respected equally.

  • 6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • HR team was always helpful towards us. Management was energetic and always ready to help me if I had any problems or questions. There were no issues in between us. The only thing that could have been better was the communication between the HR and the managers, because sometimes things were running out of hand and I had to double check if everything is going right.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • Since I was living not to far from my work place, there were not a lot of issues with the living and travel costs. The only thing that I really paid for was my lunch. Location was also very easy to find and bicycle-friendly, so it's a double bonus for me, because I was always travelling with my bicycle. There were no social costs.

  • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
  • Since the company is very big, it had lots of events, but they were more concentrated for the higher-ups who worked there. Nevertheless, our team also had some activities, like going to a bar after the work or playing pool together. Since my workplace was at the center of the city, you could practically do anything you want outside of work - eat, get fit at gym, go to a bar, play some games, etc.

  • 9. Would you recommend Apple to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • Apple is a well known company who offers lots of different apprenticeships and job places to work at. It's a prestige to work there and you can always increase your career opportunities there, since the competition is accessible to all the people who have passion for the technical innovations and of course the brand. If you want to increase your knowledge, polish your communication skills and improve your opportunities, it's a very good place to do that.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Apple?
  • Application process is pretty long, and the interviews are specific. They want to test your skills and they will do it person in person, so you better prepare for it. I wish I have been told that I will need to know everything about the products and how much will I have to communicate between my team, HR and managers. All in all, it's pretty rough at the beginning, but after some time, it's going to get easier.
