  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • Doing work experience as a sales advisor my day to day role would include: Going on the tills, tidying the shop floor and the stock rooms, managing the people going into the dressing rooms, replenishing the new stock, ensuring my customer service skills were up to a good standard, dealing with enquiries and just being able to give advice to customers on their choice of purchase if wanted.

  • My coach was truly useful all through my work experience periods They gave me guidance, refreshed me on anythings I had forgotten i.e. clocking up on the tills and consoled me of my capacities. In store, my colleagues were frequently giving direction when needed but in a positive and helpful way since they knew I was on work experience and I was learning on the job.

  • When my work experience first began I found the it slightly troublesome since it was the first time doing work experience on a real shop floor, It was quite fast paced but I started to appreciate it and comprehend the my supervisor and that they were trying to help me. There wasn't a real set plan for what I was doing each day but I was constantly doing and trying new things across the floor.
