On a day to day task it would involve working with the team in the store helping and serving customers, ensuring shelves are stocked and the store is welcoming and attractive. My main duty was making sure I knew how to increase sales through product placement and understanding the business and maintaining the brand reputation.

I've learnt loads of new skills such as developing my confidence when working with new people, learnt how crucial it is to be hard working and being able to think on your feet. I've worked on my work ethic and now understand how needed a strong work ethic is and a flexible approach. .

I feel like my program has a decent adjust, with a half leave a week and one day a month Classroom session permits me the chance to organize my capabilities. I feel like my program is efficient more often than not. I encountered some hurdles when my assessor was changed twice a couple of months in, and I feel like this caused defers but however I am still being able to to manage. I do however believe it was not my assessors fault but I do feel that he just had lot of work and it took a little while if not months to get a review and criticism.

I meet with my instructor/assessor quite a lot and he is very supportive, there are no actual college day since you are assessed all year round. Then in the last month of the apprenticeship you have to take part in an end assessment with an independent Assessor, which includes an observation of your ability, a discussion around your experiences and a multiple choice written test. But with the support I've received before hand I passed with flying colours.

I didn't receive that much support from my manager in comparison to my actual assessor. Anything queries I had they were passed onto my assessor more so my employer. On the shop floor I did get some assistance with how to manage stock take and how to deal with customer queries effectively and efficiently.

The salary is okay for me since I live at home and near to the store, but for someone who isn't the salary would not be sufficient at all.

No there are not many opportunities outside work, once I finish my shifts that is all there is to it.
