  • • Attended 8 workshops over a two weeks period – Improving key employability skills. • Participated in Dragons Den day – involvement in marketing, financial planning, product design. • Networked with a variety of stakeholders across EY and other businesses, including senior mentors. • Developed public speaking skills through frequent presentations • Attended tele-marketing company PlusNet, developing maintaining productivity in production. • 5 days hands on business work experience in financial services Tax to build commercial awareness.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Key employability skills: Leadership - We learnt what roles a leader has and what types of skills they possess. CMI - Qualification Development plan - This allowed us to pick on some skills that we would like to have improved on and improve on it.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I really enjoyed this programme and if I have the opportunity I would love to come back and take part in the student leadership programme. I enjoyed learning what it is like to work in the business environment. This allowed me to see how different it is from school life.

  • I feel very valued by EY because everyone is very welcoming and treats everyone with respect.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Then programme is very well structured. The first few days are completing the learning logs and then after that, it is completing activities that correlate to the different things we learnt in the programme.

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • The training provide I had during this programme has been wonderful. They are very cheerful and lively and really want to coach you so that you can be the best you.

  • 6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • From EY there is a lot of support if it is needed. Eg if you cannot come into work due to a disability, you can work from home.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • The salary package meets the costs very well. Once we have taken out the costs for travel and food their is still a good amount of money left to spend on discretionary things.

  • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
  • Outside of work there are many activities such as charity events, network gatherings and other things.

  • 9. Would you recommend EY to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • It is a very valuable experience to add to your CV which will almost guarantee you a job in the future. It also prevents you from being lazy during your summer holidays and gets you to get up and something that is fun and exciting with your time.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to EY?
  • I would say to them that the application process is probably the most stressful part about the experience however everything else is very relaxed and fun.
