  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • We spend two weeks shadowing the DCLoud developers as well as working with the customer testing experience. we looked at the analytics of each data centre and discussed it's productivity.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • We learnt to use Java and Javascript which was used to work on the internal requests. there was plenty of things to do as well as look at the sql databases that we could look at and use to improve our own knowledge.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • it was the best two weeks of my life and i thoroughly enjoyed it. i would definitely want to go back as everyone there was amazing. very very very nice to be at the whole place looked so cool and they were very friendly as well as free hot chocolate.

  • 4. How valued do you feel by Cisco?
  • They offered lots of advise and refereed me to their apprenticeship program. they were super cool and gave us lot's of advise as well as including us in their own meetings and such. there was a really nice guy who gave us free usb pens.

  • Very well structured. they had a busy schedule for us and it was very informative. they kept us busy all day and gave us plenty of things to do it was really great i loved the place.

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • Lots. they gave us hands on experience and were willing to help. it was really cool as well as teaching us lot's of things and it was great. they were there the whole time teaching us what to do and allowing us to work on out own skills.

  • It is an amazing company and everyone there was wonderful i absolutely loved it and the pen they gave me. the whole place was amazing everything was made of glass and there was like a billion pounds worth of tech in one room it was so cool. i also got to see the first router produced by cisco.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Cisco?
  • be really good at what you do, dress casual but smart and be very friendsly they like people who are passionate more than people who like money which is a cool thing so do that lots and lots
