  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I had the role of being a smart futures intern for 3 weeks and enjoyed everyday I spent on the programme, for the first 2 weeks we worked on improving various skills required in the business workplace, such as presenting skills and time management skills as well as learning the basics of accounting and corporate advisory. The activities we compelted were all team based and allowed us to work on our team work and communication skills within a group and learn which skils we could personally bring to the table.for the third week I had a placement working for the EY audit team, I got to meet the clients and help them out with real life prolems that they faced due to training I had received from my fellow workers.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I've learnt so many new skills and developed exiting ones thanks to the programme such as communication, presenting and time management skills, on top of this we all also gained a CMI level 2 qualification in team leading, which is the equivalent to a GCSE, which is going to really set us apart from others when we put it on our CV's. furthermore I have also increased my knowledge of how businesses work as well as learned how auditors work on a day to day basis.
