  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My job title is a fibre jointer, on a daily basis I install and connect networks for businesses. This varies from small business to large corporate enterprises. I interact with customers every day, ensuring they know exactly what the process is and the timescale involved. As part of my responsibility I have to make sure every step has been taken to connect the customer and if the original plan cannot be completed, I have to try and think of an alternative strategy so the customer is not affected. All the networks I install use fibre and the latest technology, so being up to date with training is essential.
