  • Job title: Test Analyst Daily tasks: Accepting / Rejecting test service requests from the client, entering data into different systems, handling client enquiries via email/phone, managing TSRs to make sure they are progressing Responsibilities: Entering accurate data into a number of systems, ensuring work is being done to meet SLAs.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I've learnt a lot of technical skills including java, html, cucumber and selenium testing. I've also learnt a lot of interpersonal skills such as presentation skills and how to communicate effectively verbally and with body language.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy coming to work every day as there is a good work-life balance, a relaxed atmosphere and friendly & supportive colleagues. There are also lots of opportunities for personal and professional development so there is never a dull moment, there is always something to do.

  • 4. How valued do you feel by Capgemini?
  • I feel like I'm a valued member of Capgemini because I've received good feedback from managers. I've been recognized for being involved in extra-curricular activities and personally I feel like I'm a good ambassador for Capgemini and apprenticeships as a whole.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • My programme is well structured with a clear path for learning and development and there are support networks in place whenever help is needed in whatever area I might be struggling in. There are regular meetings in place to gauge performance and progress where feedback can be sought and identify areas for improvement.

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • The support from the training provider could be better. It seems that they were having some issues with finding a suitable assessor for my group and communication hasn't always been as clear as it should have been.

  • There are a number of people I can go to for help and support so I feel like I can make my voice heard should there be any problems.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • Salary is well above the average apprenticeship rate so I am happy with this. There is also a clear structure for progression I can work towards to increase my salary.

  • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
  • Yes, there are lots of extra activities to get involved with. For example, I am part of a group of volunteers who are taking part in the Prince's Trust Million Makers challenge to raise £10,000 for the charity to help disadvantaged / under-privileged young adults.

  • 9. Would you recommend Capgemini to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • I would not hesitate to recommend Capgemini to anyone because it is truly a great company where if you put the work in, you will be rewarded. Work-life balance is great, colleagues are approachable and friendly at all levels and there are lots of opportunities to progress.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Capgemini?
  • I would say be yourself as the recruitment process is all about who you are as a person not necessarily what you know. Of course, technical knowledge is a plus, but they are more likely to hire you based on your personality and the potential you have in growing into a valuable asset to the company. Be on time, dress smart, prepare your questions and answers and be confident in your abilities.
