  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My work experience consisted of working alongside staff in the pathology lab offices. It consisted of sorting many different results for a vareity of areas, this involved organising seperate results and making sure they were filed, envoloped and sent to the correct place. I was able to communicate with the staff and staff working in the actual pathology labs to communicate test results.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I was able to learn many different professional skills such as organisation skills, team work and futher enhance my communication skills which will help me as in the future I would like to work in the NHS.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • Enjoyed my work experience I felt part of the team and met my expectations and more. I enjoyed it as I was involved and shown the processes of the department I was completing my work experience in and felt that it will be beneficial for my future career.

  • I was appreciated by all the staff and was involved within the team. I was recognised for completing the tasks well despite being on work experience and felt part of the team.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Very well organised, communication before hand by meetings and also detail send through the post and through emails. I was given an induction and also a support network if needed.

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • I was very much supported and knew where to access support if needed. I had no problems but was aware of the process if I did have any and felt very supported.

  • 6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I recieved support throughout my whole experience as felt the attitute was great from all members of staff and they were supportive of me while completing my work experience.

  • Yes

  • Great service which is under appreciated and can support all aspects what individuals required from health treatment, education and futher trainning to enhance others.

  • Explain future prospects and they will try their bests to cater for your needs.
