  • I have improved significantly on my excel and PowerPoint presentation skills since I have joined KPMG as the firm has provided multiple training sessions for apprentices to help improve their Microsoft skills so that we are better able to execute tasks effectively. • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy my programme because of the variance exposure you can get within the business. I also like the study day that is given to help support our study and work life balance as I am completing a Digital and Technology Solutions BSc at BPP University. We also have quarterly catch ups with other apprentices within KPMG to share their experience and get insight into upcoming opportunities.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • My degree apprenticeship is very well organised and structured. We have two seminars weekly during term times and they fall within six to eight pm after work. The learning modules are very well designed and easily to follow through. The study days during term time help with catching up on modules covered and planning upcoming modules.

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • From BPP I receive a lot of support especially from tutors within the seminar. They always make sure that I am engaging in my seminars and if there are any questions I am freely able to communicate with my tutors directly or within the webinar session. After completing each unit the tutors also provide constructive feedback which really helps you understood why you got this mark and what you did well and what you could have improved on.

  • KPMG also provides immense support with my studies and work. We have regular catch up’s with managers to help us plan and meet our goals on a quarterly basis. • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • Living in London is very expensive. Every month I save very little once I take out costs for accommodation, travel, bills, and social. My salary does a well job to cover all my costs, but I am unable to save a significant amount of money every month. Saving more money will be my goal.

  • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
  • There are significant opportunities outside of work mainly around volunteering and ‘Corporate Social Responsibility’. KPMG give me six working days to help me meet my CSR goals. In my experience I was able to assist a local council with promoting school leaver programs. I helped design their websites and posters so that it made it more appealing.
