  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • processing of invoices and paying suppliers for jobs they have done. Will move more in to a marketing role within the next 3-4 months which will involve working more closely with agencies.

  • yes learnt how to use online systems such as ariba and BAPS which has been useful. I have also been able to improve my excel skills whilst working here

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • at the moment I feel my programme is very admin based but this should start to improve soon and I should be given more interesting work to do and the work wont be as repetitive as it is currently.

  • Unilever value their employees very highly and you are treated well within the work place which is good

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • there is a good structure to my programme which has been set up for me by Unilever and I hope that I am able to stick to this and allowed to experience different roles whilst I am in the business

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • the support is very limited at the moment and is wasn't very clear about how the course was going to be run so overall the support from the training provider which is BPP hasn't been great

  • 6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • Unilever give me a lot of support and there are people in the office that I can always go to if I need any help, sometimes I have to ask people to explain things more than once as I don't understand them first time.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • the salary is good and competitive, overall I don't have a lot of costs to pay and therefore the salary is more than sufficient to cover my costs.

  • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
  • yes there has been quite a few since I joined and there is currently a big drive to try and get apprentices to socialise more outside of work.

  • 9. Would you recommend Unilever to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • Unilever is a great company to work for the only thing I would mention is that you do have to spend a lot of time at a desk so just make sure that this is something which you are happy to do.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Unilever?
  • just be yourself and be confident when you are applying. don't make things up and just be honest, Unilever look for people who want a career in the industry so make this a key selling point when applying
