  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My day to day role involves making sure my projects are on track and attending meeting with different departments to discuss projects and improvements. Moreover, every day is a new day in this role which makes it even more exciting!

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I learnt so many new skills since the start of my apprenticeship 6 months ago, such as, team work, communication, project management skills etc. Moreover, my confidence has improved massively and now I can deliver training sessions to a large group without panicking.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • The whole apprenticeship programme has been a great journey for me so far. I learnt so many things, visited other GSK sites and had the opportunity to work with so many people, from operators to directors.

  • 4. How valued do you feel by GSK?
  • At GSK, apprentices are treated the same way as employees, even better sometimes. At GSK, there are endless opportunities and progression routes to help us go further up the career ladder.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The apprenticeship programme is well structured with even balance of training/ study and work. I have a mentor on site to support me, as well as my team.

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • My training provider offers me excellent guidance and support with problems. Moreover, help me to develop further and get the best marks.

  • 6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • My line manager supports me tremendously. He is always there when I need help with any issues/ problems, challenges me and makes sure I am learning and enjoying at the same time. We also have bi-weekly review sessions.

  • Pretty good.

  • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
  • GSK is an excellent company to work for as they give so much back to the community and charities.

  • GSK is a great company to work for as they numerous progression routes and great apprenticeship programmes that help you develop and earn a recognised qualification at the same time.
