  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • In my role as a business analyst we support other areas of the bank with the running of their business by providing reporting based on what they do so they can see what is done well and what can be changed allowing them to do their jobs more efficiently.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have gained experience within Microsoft Office such as Excel which has become more advanced and I have also learned the use of SAS VA and SQL coding.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • The programme has been good for the last year. The workbooks can be slightly tedious and repetitive and I'd put the Research project as the last module of the programme but other than that

  • I feel a valued member of my team and this has been evident through year end reviews and the opportunities passed out to me.

  • The programme is well organised although I would change some of the running order of the modules.

  • My training provider is always on hand to answer any questions or challenges I have of them

  • I can ask questions at any time and feel as though they are always answered in their fullest.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • The salary aspect of the role has exceeded expectations as I didn't imagine I'd receive as much with it being an apprenticeship

  • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
  • we do a lot of charity work which is something I like to see and get involved in and we can also do branch visits.

  • Yes

  • It is a good place to work as there is opportunities available throughout the apprenticeship and the support you receive is great.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to NatWest?
  • To research carefully on the company and speak to any individuals you know that may work there for an insight into what they do.
