  • Varies depending on placement however they all revolve around maintaining and improving the Transport for London Road Network and any assets on it.

  • I have been able to put into practice my communication skills every day but the major improvement is being given responsibility which I have really enjoyed.

  • I have been really lucky with my placements and the people in my teams.

  • Numerous people around me for support eg. Sponsor, Supervisor, Placement Manager, Mentor etc.

  • Only minor things out of control have affected the flow.

  • NVQ Assessor - Exceptional College - Left to it on your own a lot more.

  • Balances very well

  • Site visits out of core hours. Also had several team outings.

  • Yes

  • My experiences have really benefitted me. Doing this apprenticeship was the best choice I have made in my life so far.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Transport for London?
  • People are genuinely there to support you so don't feel uncomfortable about asking questions.
