1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

It is routine maintenance on rolling stock. It involves checking all aspects of the train making sure it is safe to run into service.

2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

NVQ level 3, ONC in electrical engineering. Other than that the apprenticeship is extremely poor in providing more training. And hope you will just coast through not asking or wanting anymore. Its a joke.

3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

Best part is some of the people you meet. Some are extremely helpful and enjoy all aspects and will go through in depth. Work is low skilled in my opinion and does not warrant a 3 year apprenticeship. More like a year at best.

I do feel appreciated in some aspects. But incredibly seldom.

This box isn't big enough to describe the joke which is called the 3 year engineering apprenticeship LU provide. All the bullet points to consider are non existent.

Any question I ask gets turfed away and put off until I have to give up asking.

It is a great package
