1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

During my apprenticeship; I performed the role of an IT Operator, maintaining the key systems used across the airline.

2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Yes, I learnt a wide range of new skills from bespoke technical skills to general skills that have been of use to me since finishing my apprenticeship.

3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoyed my program as it gave me a great opportunity to work within different areas of the airline.

4. How valued do you feel by British Airways?

During my apprenticeship BA made me feel very welcome and included me in tasks across the board.

5. How well organised/structured is your programme?

The program had great structure meaning I always knew what the plan was from the start.

Our training provider was great and really engaged us through the qualification.

The employer is always quick to address any concerns which we may have had.

The salary package was great and allowed me to live comfortably.

8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?

Yes, during my apprenticeship I was always getting involved in external events through the company which I thoroughly enjoyed.

I would recommend BA as an employer due to the reasons above.

10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to British Airways?

Emphasise any things which you do outside of the regular school results; try to find something that separates you from other candidates. For example, I took part in the Duke of Edinburgh Gold award which meant I had a lot of experience outside school.
