  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I'm currently in a software testing role. On a day to day basis I will create opticians prescriptions, to test for a Boots project. I do this to make sure all frames, lenses are in the new system and also check for any defects.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt a lot whilst doing this role. One of the main skills needed to do this job is managing excel spreadsheets to make sure all the testing number are up to date. By doing this, I know exactly how many tests I have done, how many tests are left to do and how many tests passed/failed. This has also help with my organisation skills so I'm prepared for when I go into meetings.
