  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I am a E-commerce Channel Assistant. This involves looking after my categories on the website and working with suppliers to decide what brands get featured on various pages.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt how to work all the systems in order to complete daily tasks. I have learnt how to interact with people I work with and also how to negotiate with suppliers.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I really enjoy my programme. I love working and learning at the same time, and every day is different so I'm never bored.

  • 4. How valued do you feel by Boots?
  • I feel very valued within Boots and within my own team. I have been very well supported and feel as though I bring something different to everyone else, which everybody appreciates.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • I feel that my job role gives me a lot of structure day to day. I also have college once a week which breaks up the week, but I feel that my college time is not as well organised or structured as the other side of the apprenticeship.

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • I feel that there could be more support from the college tutor. In terms of feedback, I don't receive much from her. My main support comes from my team and line manager.

  • 6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive a lot of support from my line manager and ACM, as I have regular catch ups with them and they are always aware of my needs and constantly ask if I need anything from them

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • I think I am paid fairly, as I am an apprentice and am being trained, so its a good salary which cover all my costs.

  • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
  • I do a few volunteering opportunities outside of work, but I find most opportunities come from work.

  • 9. Would you recommend Boots to a friend?
  • Yes

  • Because I have learnt so much and really enjoy working for a big company with so many opportunities.

  • Be confident in your abilities, and love Boots as a brand.
