  • 6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • Most of the time you have to rely only on your line manager so when there is an issue with the line manager you do not have much support. If you have a good line manager, you will get as much support as needed, if you need more support then asking is not a problem in this situation and you can get a lot of guidance if required. I had an excellent line manager and received all the support I needed and he was frequently checking if I required more support; he kept up to date with my progress on the coursework and helped me plan how I will strengthen my skills and work towards getting a full-time permanent job at the end. I can email my line manager for support or ask for help. He always tries his best to assist me.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • The salary was reasonable for an apprenticeship;; I incurred no transport costs as I lived within walking distance. However, if I had to pay for accommodation and transport, I would not be able to afford to participate in this apprenticeship. Furthermore, my package did not reflect on the amount of work I was doing, but as this was a great opportunity I was willing to sacrifice some time to gain experience.
