Eden Engineering Apprentice carry out daily routines and respond to breakdowns as required further more use the ppm data base to complete ppms as required
I have developed existing skills and also learn new ones i have been sent on training courses to operate machine such as IPAF course i have also done specific PLC training.
overall the course is good however the college resourses seem disorganised and overstretched. i enjoy the day to day workings of site.
I feel valued by the engineering department and am fitting in well with the engineering team. I have been given some projects to get on with.
The course does follow some structure however there does seem to be some confusion between the training provider and the company. This seems to be more down to the training provider.
Although i have an assigned training and development advisor i have no communication with him further more when he does turn up to site i get no prior warning.
I recieve good spport from my employer my manager is always avaliable for me to speak to if i have a problem and they are resolved quickly and to a helpful resolution.
I had to supply all my own tools for the job this cost alot also when travling 250 miles each way to college per week the expences can take a while to clear.
I am unaware of any oppotunites outside of work it would be something that i would like to get envolved in if it were offered to me. there were activities avaliable through the college
