1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
A wide and varied role including but not limited to packing orders as per Amazon required pace. Liasing with line manager with regard to loading deliveries and communicating with customers via live chat
2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
Yes lots, I feel I have performed a wide range of duties which has resulted in me developing a lot of skills making me very work ready
3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
Love it, For the first time in my life I wake up in the morning and are genuinely excited to get up and get ready for work as each day is different you don't know what to expect
4. How valued do you feel by Amazon?
Very valued, all staff know me by name and the managers make an effort to greet me. I feel as though I am a valued member of the team and that the work I do is key to the success of Amazon
5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
expertly organised, there is a day by day plan right down to each hour so I know where Im expected to be at the present time. Where I am off next and where I will be in the future. ITs great that they have put so much care in to this.
6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
They're amazing, I wouldn't be doing this without them. I feel satisfied they are working with me and for my benefit not just somebody doing a job.
6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?
Tons of support, more then I could ever have expected. There is always someone available to talk to and I feel that Amazon is always listening to it's employees to ensure they are as happy as can be
7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
My salary is fair for the role performed. As anyone would say to be paid more is nice but at the present time I feel my salary is perfectly justified.
8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
Lots of opportunities, theres a staff notice board which always has events listed. Having gone to a few the turnout is always great. It feels like we are one big happy family working at Amazon/
9. Would you recommend Amazon to a friend?
It's a fun, fast paced and rewarding place to work. Everything anyone needs. I also would not recommend friends or family yo work somewhere I wouldn't work and as I love it. I know they will Love it too.
10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Amazon?
Be yourself -personality counts for more then anything else. It is Amazons understanding that any other skills can be taught. Personality can't. Relax and say how you feel.
