Job Title: Trainee Tasks involved stacking shelves, shadowing others, admin, walking the store, greeting/meeting, till work, helping others and customers, also eventually training and supervising others.
Learnt how to deal better with the public and also set me up with some great communicational and vocational skills that I can further within my life, along with preparing me with what to expect for my future working life.
Parts could have been better, but overall amazing and helpful experience. I was treated well, looked after, learnt a lot about myself, the business and the public. I always felt informed, included and up to date.
As previously stated I felt incredibly valued I was always kept up to date and well looked after by my peers, colleagues and managers. The business are incredibly supportive with counselling and unions.
Organization could have been better, my tasks never varied and this often left me feeling neglected or bored but I did get used to this. It's what you make of it, they're so accommodating when I asked for/seeked change I got it, with support to do so.
As mentioned I was supported, sometimes I felt left to my own demise's too frequently but I got used to this and also really enjoyed my training and training others.
After having a car accident I was put in a safer/more relaxed department and was supported thoroughly throughout this, even being supported by having extra time off.
I was met with my expectations which always helps and was always supported with time off, holiday pay was the same and I accumulated more holiday with extra time
Unsure, lots of community support but felt it was a generational thing and younger generations didn't participate as much as the older. Didn't feel 100% encouraged in that department.
Yes
All the reasons mentioned above! helpful, quick training, supportive!
Be honest, respectful and friendly. A job for genuine and honest people. Lots of support, advice and help available in all the right places.
