I am a test analyst. I read through solutions documentation and then write test scripts based on them. Once the application is built I run the tests and raise any bugs on them. I monitor bugs and help developers to understand the bug better.
I had no previous testing knowledge and have learn that. I have also learnt SQL through other team members and practice
I enjoy the program a lot. I really enjoy my role in the team and the experience I am getting. I don't feel as if I am the apprentice, but a valueable member of the team.
I feel very valued in the team, I am given a lot of responsibility which tests my skills and also grows my confidence
It is well structured year by year, although there isn't always a clear view on what the longer term role is.
I receive a lot of support through many means of communication. 1-1 coaching sessions are extremely valuable
Support from my employer is on a day to day basis and I feel as if I can share any problems I have
It is very well paid for the role, so I cannot complain. Although as I have had to leave home for the role it can be tough some months
There are various training courses that are accessible to me.
Yes
It is the perfect combination of theory and experience that I couldn't see getting any other way
Be honest and open minded, although don't get down if it doesn't work out, I was rejected by many companies before I got an apprenticeship but it was worth the wait!
