  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I assisted with basic stocking and serving customers at the CEX store for school work experience. I was only on the Tills briefly and mostly stocked shelves and sorted out games and DVDS into cases.

  • I did not learn many skills from my work experience, only some customer service skills and how to serve people through the till.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • It was only very short, but it was a nice change from school at the time. I enjoyed getting a taste of the working environment.

  • 4. How valued do you feel by CeX?
  • I did not feel very valued as they mostly let me stock shelves, quite menial work with not much satisfaction.

  • It was relatively poorly structured, I just was told what to do each day.

  • I was given quite thorough instructions as to what to do, so it was good.

  • Not applicable as it was only for a week.

  • My work experience was unpaid.

  • It was not very fulfilling and the fact it was unpaid was unfair.

  • Be prepared to not undertake as many tasks as you'd like.
