  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My role is a Legal Support Coordinator in the Banking and Restructuring team. This mainly involves assisting the national banking and restructuring paralegals. I get involved in all stages of a banking transaction from the searches at the beginning to the post completion work at the end. Work I completed includes; company searches and report forms, registering security at Companies House, drafting CP checklists and corporate authorisation documents, liaising with fee earners and clients, creating bibles and sending out original documents. I also get involved with the restructuring part of the team which mainly includes carrying out security reviews, from the appropriate insolvency searches to drafting a report to be sent to the client.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The programme is really well organised. The induction was in London and the training was in Leeds (I am based in Manchester) therefore I was able to meet people from other offices. The support from the paralegals and other staff was great and I met with my supervisors regularly for appraisials. All the staff are great at delegating tasks and are open to being asked questions, it doesnt matter what role someone is in, everyone is really apporoachable which has made it so enjoyable.
