  • I am a substation craftsperson apprentice, on a daily basis I will training on site at elstree which is my base location or I will be training at national grids state of the art training centre in eakring, Newark, nottinghmashire.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • it is a good overall salary, but as I am in a London team, the London weighting provided does not match the house prices on the market in this region of the country which is going to make it very hard to buy a property, renting is also a higher price in this region of the country.

  • yes national grid are always inviting and informing us of charity events etc

  • Yes

  • because it is a great opportunity to learn and it is a great employable and secure job, in my opinion.

  • be honest, and show and prove what skills you have to offer
