  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • At the moment I am helping out the administrators of a business so I am involved in the day to day running of the business in questions such as making payments to suppliers. I speak to many suppliers in the phone but also interact with colleagues regularly.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I am learning new skills quite often but perhaps more importantly I am taking accountancy exams as well as doing day to day work which will set me up for the future.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • KPMG being a large firm has been great for meeting plenty of people and building relationships with them. The work isn't bad at all and I get plenty of support.

  • 4. How valued do you feel by KPMG?
  • Yes, as I learn more skills I think I become a more valuable asset and have much more responsibility. I sometimes help out with higher level projects too which is also good.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The induction and training were organised so that we were ready for our start. In the KPMG360 programme I rotate around the business so we're set to dates for when we should move again.

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • I receive enough help from the training provider, I am first taught, then given materials to teach with, a forum to ask questions and also an email to ask specific questions to.

  • 6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • The teams I am in respect that I need to learn and revise so are happy for me to learn provided I give them notice of a few weeks. However, other than the actual lessons/ online tuition we aren't given study days unless we use up our holiday.

    7/10

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • KPMG pay for expenses for travelling anywhere except the office (ie to a client). I am living with my parents so I can't give a fair value for whether these support living costs but other apprentices are living in the city with the salary.

    10/10

  • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
  • There are many social events and clubs that I can join at KPMG and they also support us helping the community by giving us days which we can use.

    10/10

  • 9. Would you recommend KPMG to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • Great company with a lot of support to employees, colleagues are extremely helpful and nice. And finally I believe the pay is good in my opinion

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to KPMG?
  • Assuming the process is the same any resources they give you read through thoroughly as they may ask about it in the interview. I didn't but many people had done some sort of experience with KPMG before such as an internship (mostly grads though).
