KPMG 360 Apprentice Review

I am currently on the KPMG 360 school leaver programme meaning I am able to rotate around the different areas of the business. Because of this each day can be totally different and there isn't really such thing as a 'typical' day. Activities can include; attending meetings (internally or with clients), research and development, testing or networking however, there is also much more.

As well as providing you with training and exams in order for you to achieve your professional qualifications, the programme also focuses on softer, non-technical skills which allows you to become well rounded and helps you succeed in all areas of the business.

I find the programme very enjoyable and think is especially due to you being able to tailor your own pathway which allows you to choose a route which personally interests you. As well as this, KPMG as a whole is an enjoyable company to work due to their people focused cultures.

The personalisation of the programme allows each person to be individually valued. KPMG also has recognition schemes which allows for good work to be rewarded. Managers and senior members of staff are always happy to help or provide advice where needed to ensure that you portray your best self, this all makes me feel valued by KPMG.

The programme is very well organised. The first 3 years you are able to rotate around the business whilst studying for your Level 3 and 4 AAT exams. The following 3 years you study towards your chartered exam whilst working in the business area you have chosen to specialise within.

The training provider, BPP, is very supporting and provide a structured pathway in which to study for your exams which has had proven success. The tutors are all lovely and helpful and you also have access to them at any times via a dedicated team especially for KPMG employees.

KPMG provide sufficient support in terms of studying and also provide a Professional Qualification Training team who are always on hand to answer any questions or give a helping hand.

My salary is sufficient enough to meet my costs however, my travel costs are not that large in comparison to others. As well as receiving a salary and having your professional qualifications paid for, KPMG also offer excellent benefits which are good to make use of.

KPMG allow you 7 days a year to be able to complete volunteering work outside of KPMG. KPMG often hosts events for all employees also such as forums and sports days. As well as this there are several different clubs/societies you are able to join which allows you to socialise with your colleagues in an environment which is not as professional as needs to be when working.

Definitely be yourself as there is no need to be anyone else at KPMG! Once at KPMG make sure to the make the most of all opportunities available and gain exposure to as many different things as you possibly can!
