  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My role as a mechanical engineering apprentice at Cummins Turbo Technologies varies on a daily basis as I am situated in the Laboratory Operations section of the company. This involves performing various tests on current and future turbocharger products for data analysis by the engineers on site. Turbochargers are tested in cells powering the turbo units solely, by use of burning fuel to simulate exhaust gas flow. Turbocharger are also tested fitted up to an engine on the beds we have on site.
