  • I complete a wide variety of tasks on a daily basis. From till work, working deliveries and sorting out any customer queries.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have been completing a level 2 qualification in retail skills, and through my time in store I have become more confident and learnt the importance of team work.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy working for Aldi and with everyone in my store. Everyone is friendly and helpful and keen to see me progress.

  • 4. How valued do you feel by Aldi?
  • I get a lot of support from everyone around me. My store manager has helped me with all the training I need to learn and I have made lots of new friends. The college have also helped me settle in and I regularly see my area manager. When I have worked well and reached my targets I am recognised and we have a good team spirit.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • I know what I need to do to complete the college work and work well in my role.

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • I receive lots of support. I see my college tutor almost every month and they have a lot of good advice.

  • 6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I had very structred training from my first day in store, and lots of ongoing feedback on how to improve. I also have a mentor who helps me if I am struggling with a particular part of my role and helps me gain more confidence.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • Its ok, but I am looking forward to moving onto the higher pay rate in the future.

  • I haven't been to any outside events but hopefully I will in the future.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • Its hard work but you learn something new everyday. I have gained so much experience in my first year, and I am looking forward to progressing onto my management training. If you want a career in retail management Aldi has everything!


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Aldi?
  • Make sure you do some research before applying and be sure you are committed enough.
