  • I was part of an audit team who provided support to the leading manager in order to complete the audit.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I developed my already existing excel skills and learnt how to use Bloomberg. I also learnt how to present via power point.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I find it enjoyable as I feel a sense of accomplishment when I learn something new and finish a task.

  • Incredibly as EY relies on us to provide support to the main functions of the business.

  • I think it is well structured, but we were not given long enough warning of our start date.

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • A lot of support and when I return I will start ICAS exams and continue to be supported with those.

  • I think this will differ depending on which audit team you are assigned too but I found my group provided me with lots of support.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • I think my salary is reasonable considering how little skilled we are as undergraduates.

  • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
  • I believe EY offer opportunities in the form of socialising and sports via holding dinners and organising sports teams.

  • Yes

  • EY makes an effort to make you feel as if your work counts on a day-to-day basis. They have great integration systems like buddies.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to EY?
  • To be enthusiastic about the job, to know a lot about EY and what they do and to show a keen interest in the general industry.
