Assurance intern Review

Working in assurance audit, I was part of a team working on an interim audit for a client. As part of this, I created and carried out numerous tests of control as well as communicated with the client to understand what they do. I had responsibility in creating my own work and ensuring I stayed on task with the teams goals. I enjoyed the complexities of walkthroughs and write ups!

I've improved my client communication skills as well as developed skills within audit i.e how to carry out certain procedures.

I enjoy the programme a lot because it allows me to apply what I have learnt at university in a practical environment, and I am able to have an insight into a variety of businesses.

I feel quite valued as there is a good support network and feedback system for my performance, both allowing me to develop in my role.
