  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • In my role at work on a daily basis, I complete and update excel sheets relevant to my team, I also run reports for members of my team. I organise meeting rooms, send emails, organise workshops in my office. I find it really interesting.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Yes I have learnt how to do certain formulas on excel in order to calculate things which quickens up the process when completing spreadsheets.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I really enjoy my programme as I have learnt a lot throughout my time here. I love how big the company is and I feel privileged to have worked here.

  • 4. How valued do you feel by Unilever?
  • I do feel valued by Unilever. They care about their employees a lot. Whenever I complete a task for an employee at Unilever they are always grateful and thankful.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The programme is very organised and structured and has been from the very beginning. Everything is explained to you when you first join the company and is kept the same throughout the whole process to avoid confusion.

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • I get a lot of support from my training provider. They are easily assessable at all times, and are an email or phone call away. They are very approachable and are always there if you ever have a problem that you need to talk about.

  • 6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I have a very nice team who are always there if I ever have any questions to ask. I and my line manager have weekly meetings every Monday and we go through anything I need to speak to her about.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • My salary meets my costs fine. The location I work at is very close to home therefore I only need to use petrol, which isn't much as it isn't too long a journey.

  • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
  • Yes there are opportunities outside work, I have began to do some work where I will be visiting an external company to look at providing work experience for people. I have also in the past organised a meeting held outside of the office which was exciting to arrange.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • Because you are getting hands on experience whilst learning in such a big company. It allows you to learn on the job whilst earning money at the same time.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Unilever?
  • Be yourself, be honest, have a passion for what you're applying for and be eager and motivated to learn. Also believe in yourself too.
