  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Since starting my apprentice I have completed multiple levels of education learning everything I need to set me up as a successful engineer on site. Upon starting on site I have worked alongside time served engineers and learned a great deal from completing projects and working on installations under supervision. I am constantly learning and always involved in new training courses to ensure that my knowledge and skills are up to date with the technology used around the plant.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • I feel my salary is fairly competitive and meets all of my basic needs like owning a nice a car and having my own house. However after deducting all of my costs I would like to have more disposable income to indulge in hobbies and other activities that improve my lifestyle. This is probably the case for everybody in employment however.

  • Egger is a fantastic company that offers many opportunities to its apprentices that succeed academically and physically onsite.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Egger?
  • The best advice I can give is to put together a well written and informative application. Thoroughly explaining what your interests are in the position, relevant experience and goals you would like to reach within the company. Talk about yourself confidently and explain what traits you have that would make you ideal for the role. Always research the company and make sure you know what the job entails. Dress smart and speak clearly and confidently, small things can make the difference between one candidate getting the job over the other.
