I get to provide administrative and management support to a number of change programmes and projects currently being run by HMRC. This involves a wide variety of different tasks and no two days are the same.
I have developed a good understanding of agile project management, and benefit management (demonstrating value for money) and now hold formal recognised qualifications. I have also developed and understood a range of existing skills further so that I now understand how they add value and how to maximise them.
I enjoy the stretch and work I complete as part of the programme
massively, I feel like I am being given the opportunities to develop and will be able to move into other roles in the future.
It could be better organised, I believe it is still a new programme with a large number of participants and this is an area of ongoing development.
They offer advice and teachers for the HNC through a session a month. They could have been better if I am honest, but this is probably part of the reason for changing providers for future cohorts.
Loads, the team I work with and the management of the programme have been so supportive throughout, with any issues I have had along with any support for both personal and professional issues.
Really well i get a 23k salary, the same as anyone else working at the same grade.
The apprenticeship has thrown up a number of opportunities to attend events outside of my 'day job' that have allowed me to build a bigger stakeholder network.
Yes
Great supportive environment to grow and learn, whilst earning a good salary
throw yourself into any of the opportunities that are there. You can get loads out of the programme if you put the work in.
