  • 6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • We have the ability to set up meetings with our apprentice development leader when we feel we need it and have a review every three months. I feel that my manager is very supportive and is constantly looking for ways to improve the experience I have within his team.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • I find it very difficult to stretch my monthly salary across the month, especially with living costs. In terms of travel the free transport provided is good although it doesn't go to many areas so it can often be a case of getting 2 buses which can be difficult. I do not have much money to do social things after I have paid all my bills which can sometimes make me feel a little bit left out.

  • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
  • the apprentice and graduate association is great for meeting new people, however I'm not sure how much other stuff there is to do outside work hours. I tend to go to the gym 3 times a week outside of work

  • 9. Would you recommend Rolls-Royce to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • Because I enjoy the job and the employer does a lot for its employees, it is also a brilliant learning experience and there are many progression routes

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Rolls-Royce?
  • Be yourself and research the role and the company thoroughly before you apply. Make sure you don't take everything at face value, especially when looking to move.
