I am a Customer Centre Support Manager, I look after a team whose tasks are very varied. We are part of a Customer Centre and my team's role is to support other teams, by doing policy driven tasks, resource planning, logging repairs and lots of other tasks. As their manager I am involved in implementing change, process improvement and perfomrance management. I liaise with internall and external stakeholders to drive changes in reporting and systems. I am involved projects for driving through improvements for the business.
There are a lot of internal courses whis I have completed and still may complete. We have an academy which suports our own development. I am currently doing the Level 5 ILM Apprenticeship in Leadership and Management. I am learning about different management theories and stress management.
I really enjoy meeting with people from different business and sharing our experiences. The course allows me to get different ideas and perspectives which I can apply in my role.
I do feel valued for the role I play. On occasions simple erros let you down ie getting annual leave wrong really makes you feel like its not considered important for the business but it is as an employee. I am valued by my team/ my peers and my manager.
It is structured fairly well. There have bee some issues with room bookings but there is a plan in place for delievery.
I receive the support I want. The tutor is very helpful and does make himself available for support.
The support my development but have little direct interaction with it.
It's fine
There are few company events. We are a charity so money is reinvested into the business. We do have some initiatives to support people with reduced rates for restaurants, theaters and local gyms which is nice.
