  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • Advanced Technical Engineer Apprentice. This involves 3 years of rotating around the different departments within DTO. Depending on the department, it depends on the day to day responsibilities. I have undertaken projects to design new parts, built engines, fixed production problems and helped in HSE.

  • 4. How valued do you feel by Cummins?
  • Very much so. I feel as though I am treated much the same as any other employee. This is testament to Cummins treatment of others policy and how all should be treated the same at work.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • Good salary for someone of my age. I have fairly expensive travel costs due to the distance between home and work but my wages are more than sufficient to cover this as well as pay for a good life outside of work.

  • Yeah, there are many opportunities outside of work. There is a Sports and Social club I am a member of and we also partake in EEEC events. This year I have been into a local primary school to promote STEM.
