The overview of my role and what it had involved was going to different departments of the firm on a daily basis and being given tasks to complete for the day.
I have developed the confidence and listening skills. I have also enhanced my ability to work with computers and being able to talk with people of a different generation and work ethic.
This programme was very enjoyable as I was able to meet new people everyday and interact with a wide range of job roles and allowed me to experience something new everyday.
I had been felt very valued by Pinsent Masons and was highly welcomed into the firm. They treated the students as the employees and gave large responsibilities to gain the full experience.
The programme was well structured as it had been scheduled for the students to have daily tasks to do with a supervisor in different departments so that the student can get their full experience in the firm and working in a law sector.
I had been given lots of support from the training provider as they were able to give us help whenever it was needed and also were very kind in given us work of our level to gain a good experience.
I had been given lots of support from the employer as they were able to give me a supervisor for each day and this supervisor was very helpful whenever help was needed. they also supported us in any work and tried to give us the fullest experience.
The salary did not meety costs as it was an unpaid work experience. However as I did enjoy the experience a lot, I did not mind the costs that I was getting from travelling to and from the work place.
There were many opportunities that were available outside from the workplace, such as charity events and fundraisers, however I was not able to take part in any of them as there was any taking place in the time I was there.
Yes
As this opportunity was full of different experiences that you probably would not be able to get from another firm. The workplace also allowed me to become more confident with travelling by myself which is vital for me.
To be confident in your application and to try to constantly check through the application for any small errors. Patience is key as they will take while to get back to you, however this experience will be unforgettable
