I am an iOS app tester and I have to test both new and old features of the app every day. If I find any issues, then I raise them to the developers to get the fixed. I then retest issues to make sure they have been fixed. On a day to day basis, I have to talk to the backend/data teams to create the correct environment for tests.
I have learnt how to develop in C#, SQL Server and MVC. I also know how to work in an agile work environment and how to test/ how the SDLC works. I am also more confident in communicating in a team basis.
Its fantastic and I am learning everyday. Good experience.
I feel very valued. I have spoken to other apprentices who have also told me the same. My team are very helpful, have fully integrated me into the team and give me tasks to improve my knowledge. The team and company that I am in are fully devoted to helping me progress and be able to fulfil my roll.
My programme is very well organised. I was rolled into the team and the correct people were in place to help me become fully integrated into the business.
My training provider is from QA apprenticeships. I am always able to email about work to get information that might help me towards completing work set. We also have monthly meetings to make sure that I am on top of my work and to make sure that I am finding the course ok.
My employer is fantastic. Regularly I get emails from HR and the apprenticeships committee to make sure I am fully aware of the opportunities for apprentices. Furthermore, my boss and team are fully devoted to getting me to become a great application tester.
Very well. I can afford travel and still have money to enjoy life outside of work, which is essential when working in London.
Yes. All around the business there are advertisements for clubs and events. For example, I can join the RBS football team.
Yes
It is fantastic. Good pay, great support and creates amazing opportunities.
Be yourself. If you make mistakes, make sure you understand that its all a part of learning.
