  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • As I have never worked in a role like this before, I have learnt alot about the way business' and HR are run and what we have to in order for employees to be paid and records be up to date. I have developed the skill of communicating over the phone and learnt how to work under high pressure and strict deadlines.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I have thoroughly enjoyed my apprenticeship programme so far, everyone I have met has been welcoming and willing to spend time with me in order to help me learn. I was given time at the start of my job to go around the different teams in HR to give me an understanding of what they do, this really helped me settle and become comfortable within the office environment.

  • 4. How valued do you feel by NatWest?
  • I feel valued by RBS. There has been great emphasis placed on apprentices and what their plans are with us. My team manager regularly talks to me about what I want to achieve and learn and this makes me very happy to have taken the apprenticeship with RBS knowing I can progress in the role.

  • 9. Would you recommend NatWest to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • I would recommend RBS to a friend as I have had such a good experience so far. Many apprentices are paid very little compared to what is offered at RBS but more importantly the support in furthering your career that you receive here is great. My Team Manager has already spoken to me about applying for funding to study CIPD.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to NatWest?
  • I would advise people to apply, and take up as many opportunities as they can whilst they are here. Talk to people and get involved. Be yourself in interviews, of all the apprentices I have met, everyone is different and its a really good thing to get to know everybody.
