  • I am now a qualified Professional banker as certified by the Chartered Banker Institute. • the work is very interesting and I enjoy the customer facing aspect of it, as it is good to know when you have pleased a customer. the team are very friendly and have been very supportive throughout my development, especially the assistants who have taught me everything I need to know about the job role. it exceeded my expectations in being more involving than I first anticipated. the company, despite its troubles and uncertainties, is a good place to work for in my eyes.

  • 4. How valued do you feel by NatWest?
  • I am an integral member of the team, and my input is valued just as much as everyone else's. I receive contestant praise from my line manager and my team for my willingness to learn and up skill myself at every opportunity, and have won the "star of the month" for my region twice, for my hard work whilst colleagues have been away. externally, I have recently received a perfect 10/10 score from a customer survey from one of my customers, with plenty of positive feedback.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • induction consisted of two days in London, which introduced the apprenticeship scheme but not the job. training was on the job, thee was only really one course I went on but that was too late to help me as I'd already learnt the majority of it on my own and with my team's help. I did have plenty of support though in my early months to allow me to develop into my current job role. tasks are delegated fairly, however sometimes I do need to push back if they aren't.

  • 9. Would you recommend NatWest to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • good place to start a long career in finance, with plenty of support to aid in development and progreesion. they are keen for you to upskill and challenge yourself, which is a very good working environment

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to NatWest?
  • application process is long and difficult and gets harder the further along you get. ensure that you are fully committed otherwise you probably wouldn't stand a chance. interviews were alright but required a lot of preparation - its not just "tell me about yourself" you need to sell yourself using a plethora of objectives and qualities that you need to demonstrate understanding of through past actions
