  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • Business Admin apprenticeship- I work within the entrepreneurship team working alongside entrepreneurial spark which is a business accelerator the bank have invested in. My role is working closely with my line manager who runs the programme in Manchester. Our role is to work within the local ecosystem to source mentors, stakeholders and applicants for the programme.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • The programme I have been accepted on has been amazing. As I came straight from high school I feared it would be a huge step to make but my team allowed that transition to happen smoothly and I have no regrets or second thoughts.

  • 4. How valued do you feel by NatWest?
  • I feel like RBS appreciate me as I have been given lots of tasks and projects to develop me as an individual and the team.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • I feel the programme is extremely well structured and supported from the RBS side but BPP (the external company who the apprenticeship is ran by) isn't as organised.

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • The training provider (BPP) do provide an assessor and a you meet with him on a monthly bases over the phone. They also give lots of different revision options but the content is messy and you struggle to find what you need on there systems.

  • 6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • RBS on the other hand provided me with everything that I needed at the start of my apprenticeship and throughout. My line manager is very supportive and is keen for my to learn and develop.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • The salary is brilliant for anyone applying especially if this is a someone's first job. I don't think you'll find anything much better anywhere else.

  • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
  • Within my department I have lots of opportunities as I'm working with businesses on a daily bases and part of my job is to go to events in the local ecosystem to present about who we are and what we do.

  • 9. Would you recommend NatWest to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • It has treated me feel well in my first 6months at the organisation, presented me with lots of future prospects and provided me a great journey into adulthood.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to NatWest?
  • I would say prepare as much as you can for telephone/face to face interview by learning as much as you can about RBS how you fit into organisation. what skill do you have that can benefit RBS?
