I work in Finance solutions where I am an apprentice environment manager. most of the day consists of looking at what is going on to get an idea of what I'll be working with when I begin training properly for the role.
Within the bank I have been to multiple training courses where I have completed stuff such as facilitation training.
It has given me a great start in an industry that is so vast and is constantly expanding. The team I have been in has been supportive through the whole process.
I feel I have a real place within the bank as well as individually in my team as everything I do work wise feels as though it has some weight to it and it help out with other processes going on at the same time.
For the most part, the internals of the programme have been great but one problem has definitely been the college with the distance we have to travel as well as the organisation by the college.
For the most part the training is okay but is quite unorganised in how slow it is do to anything regarding out programme.
RBS has been impeccable with it's treatment towards myself through different circumstances that have come up over the time that I've been here.
Salary package is more than I could have asked for at this point in time covering all essential needs.
There are numerous activities that run outwith the bank from volunteering to sporting events.
Yes
It is a great way to get into the industry and also have a great education provided.
Be confident in everything you do as it will shine through to whoever it is that is interviewing you. Also try and get as many of the different opportunities under your belt as there are hundreds of amazing experiences throughout the bank.
